Are these threats mere slogans or facade to cover up the worst fear that the country is already being run by notorious drug lords and crime syndicates?

Three Chinese men with not so clean of a record, having some brushes with the law; allegations and actual cases (dismissed) of drug manufacturing (shabu lab), drug dealings, including importation and transshipment of drugs; reportedly “have formed a group to solidify their illegal drug business” using legitimate firms as front.

Johnson Chua is said to be based in Macau while Michael Yang and Allan Lim, are in the Philippines. And take note, Michael Yang walks the halls of Malacañang being the presidential adviser to the president. 

Allan Lim was also captured in a picture with Yang and Duterte while in Malacanang. One would recall that a confirmed drug lord, Peter Lim, a kumpadre, with a pending warrant of arrest, and now in hiding also had an audience with Duterte in the palace before the issuance of the arrest.

So the suspected and confirmed drug lords have been frequenting the palace, and it seems that they have been long time friends and associates as the intel report would indicate.

Dismissed cop Eduardo Acierto, former deputy director for administration of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), now in hiding, presented 2017 documents detailing the supposed links of Yang and another Chinese national Allan Lim to illegal drugs.

But why surface only now, when he was already implicated in drug smuggling?

Acierto said there is nothing to lose when death threats abound.

“I will come out once I know that there is justice and fairness. At present, there is no level playing field for me,” Acierto said.

“Kung ikamatay ko ito, ok lang sa akin. At least nasabi ko na... Nalabas ko na. (If I die because of this, it's fine with me. At least I've said what I know)."
